The QEPNT Team exhibited key technologies at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase.
The QEPNT team engaged with new companies, investors, academics and members of the quantum community at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase in London on 7th of November.

The showcase presented the latest in ground-breaking applications of the technology which will potentially revolutionise many aspects of life in the UK. Quantum technologies could bring enormous benefits to the economy, such as making it possible to solve complex problems impossible to solve with even the most powerful high-performance classical computers, and opening entirely new frontiers in sensing, timing, imaging, and communications.
The Hub showcased a live demo on single-photon three-dimensional imaging. This approach based on quantum detection technologies delivers 3D imaging with excellent surface-to-surface resolution, even in extreme environments such as through water, fog, and long distances. The demonstrator comprised of a single-photon camera, developed by the University of Edinburgh, which showed depth, intensity, and histograms in real-time.

Global manufacturer, CPI TMD Technology, also demonstrated their gMOT technology on the stand to showcase a successful ongoing partnership with the University of Strathclyde. The gMOT is a compact and portable cold atom system which has precision sensing capability in applications ranging from academic research to civilian and security applications.

Professor Doug Paul presented on the Hub's achievements at the 'Quantum Hubs - new capabilities, societal impact and enconomic growth for the UK' session whilst Professor Jennifer Hastie represented the Hub on the panel session, answering questions from a large audience on how the quantum hubs are supporting the UK's position as one of the world's leading quantum nations.
