On 10 March 2026, MHRC Co-director, Manon Mathias, was one of seven invited speakers at Metabolism Day 2026.
On 10 March 2026, Manon was one of seven invited speakers at Metabolism Day 2026 organized by the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research at the University of Copenhagen. There were over 500 physical attendees and around 1300 people tuning in through the live stream. The event brought together researchers within the field of metabolism to discuss the latest science in cardiometabolic diseases and energy control. Manon’s presentation, title ‘'The gut in literature: what can fiction offer metabolism researchers?’ stimulated lively discussions about the wider importance of eating and digesting in human identity.
